Cotton

The lengths and thicknesses of these fibers generally vary. The fibers are absorbent. This feature is a
very important factor that makes it very soft and extremely comfortable to wear. It is widely
preferred in regions with a hot climate because it keeps it cool.

The best quality cotton, such as Egyptian and Sea Island cottons, is obtained from long, thin and shiny
yarns. Cotton is used extensively in various weavings, from light and loosely knitted fine fabrics to very
heavy and pile fabrics such as velvet, both in terms of weight and quality.

Cotton Fabric Properties

• It absorbs moisture very well and keeps the heat cool by carrying it out of the body.
• Electrification does not occur as in some clothes.
• Extremely high quality paint holding feature.
• It may shrink a little after washing.
• When it gets moldy, it deteriorates when exposed to sunlight for a long time.
• More robust when wet.
• Tends to wrinkle easily
• It gets dirty easily and is also easily cleaned.
